Against all odds on a gridiron in South Bend, Indiana, Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger carved his name into history books as perhaps the most inspiring graduate of the University of Notre Dame. This “five-foot nothin’” defensive end, sacked the quarterback in the final moments of the only game in his college football career, being carried off the field on his teammate’s shoulders for the first time in the school’s history. In 1993, Rudy’s life story was immortalized with the blockbuster film Rudy, now considered to be one of the “Most Inspirational Films of All Time”. Today, Rudy Ruettiger is an Emmy Award-winning motivational speaker, author, and producer with over 25 years of experience speaking to corporations, universities, sports teams, and special events. His powerful message of “Never Quit” and “Yes I Can” comes from his personal experiences of adversity and triumph. Rudy’s candid nature and willingness to connect with every person he meets with a bold, refreshing, and relevant message has poised him to exemplify his message of overcoming obstacles, persevering through adversity, and making every second count.
