DIY Luggage Tags

Dive into summer vacation with a fun DIY project for kids that is sure to get them excited about a totally tubular vacation to WaTiki® Indoor Waterpark Resort in Rapid City, SD. The WaTiki® Waterpark DIY luggage tag is a simple, yet fun, project for kids of all ages to enjoy!

Simply print the PDF template below, customize the look, and attach it to your luggage or backpack. The PDF template, which can be found here, features Koko, a name badge, and the front & back base shape.

Step 1:

It’s time to get crafty! Luckily, you’ll only need a few different items you probably already have around the house.

      • Paper to print the template (we recommend heavy stock paper for durability)
      • Glue or glue sticks
      • Colored pencils, crayons, or markers
      • Single hole punch
      • Ribbon or durable string

Step 2:

Color your luggage tag. Be as creative as you would like!

Step 3:

Cut out all four pieces of your luggage tag by following the dotted lines.

Step 4:

Using your glue or glue sticks, attach both front and back base shapes. Next, attach Koko on the front of the base shape and the name badge on the backside.

  • Tip: Consider laminating the tag with a laminator or packing tape for added durability.

Step 5:

Locate the small dotted line circle on the base shape. Use your single hole punch to punch a hole over the dotted line.

Step 6:

Cut a small piece of string or ribbon. Thread one end of the string through the hole. You should now have about one-half of the string on either side of the tag.

Step 7:

Thread one side of the string through the luggage handle. Tie a knot in the string, fastening the tag to the luggage.

Step 8:

Use your new luggage tag on your next trip to WaTiki® Indoor Waterpark Resort!

Ready for a tubular vacation? We look forward to splashing with you soon!
