The SDHSAA State AA Girls Tennis Tournament returns to Rapid City on October 8-9, bringing together the state’s top high school tennis programs for two days of championship competition. Student-athletes from across South Dakota will compete for both individual and team state titles, showcasing the dedication and skill that define state tournament play. Matches will be held at Sioux Park and the Parkview Tennis Complex.

When was sports wagering introduced to Deadwood?

Sports betting was legalized in South Dakota on September 9, 2021. The BetMGM Sportsbook at Tin Lizzie accepted the first sports wager, which was placed by Mayor David Ruth Jr. His winning ticket is on display at the Adams House Museum.
